Watermelon Workshop with Liz - Thurs, July 11th, 5-8pm

Learn art quilting applique-ing with your scraps while making an adorable watermelon mini-quilt.  Liz will cover several applique techniques in this free-form design.  The final project would be a cute table topper, wall-hanging, or even a garden flag!  We will provide a pre-fused laser cut watermelon and a fat quarter for background and you provide the thread and your scraps for the rest!  Bring your sewing machine and your imagination for this evening of fun!

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: You need to be able to sew straight and zig-zag stitches on your machine
Materials Included: Pre-fused laser cut watermelon slice, pattern for bee, butterfly and ladybug
Requirements: Supplies Provided in class
- Pre-fused laser cut watermelon slice - Pattern for bee, butterfly and ladybug (you will choose one to make in class)
- Fat Quarter of your choice for background

Supplies to bring:

- Fabric scraps - greens and whites for watermelon rind, other colors for bug (at least 5"x5")
- Thread to coordinate (watermelon and bug colors)
- Sewing Machine ready to sew
- Glue stick
- Sharp scissors
- Your regular sewing supplies (seam ripper, stiletto, etc)
