| Requirements: | Fabric: Kit with ALL fabric and an art canvas will be supplied in class. Supplies to bring: ● Thread (brand and type is your choice. The shop carries Glide if you need to purchase any of the colors) - sky blue (e.g., Glide 37457 - Cloud) - dk. tan (e.g., Glide 24655 - Light Tan) - med. brown (e.g., Glide 20469 - Chocolate) - dk. brown (e.g. Glide 27596- Brownie) - forest green (e.g. Glide 60343 - Christmas) - dk. olive green (e.g. Glide 65615 - Olive) - blue bonnet blue (e.g. Glide 30660 - Blue Jay) - lt. or med. gray bobbin thread (e.g. Glide 10CG3 - Cool Grey or any light that you already have that won't show through the fabric) ● Sewing Machine ready to sew (Open Toe foot recommended) ● Large glue stick (e.g., Craft Bond-Extra Strength) ● Tacky glue ● Scissors - small and sharp for fussy cutting ● Erasable marker (e.g., Pilot Ball Frixion) ● Rotary Cutter, ruler and mat (Optional ? rulers and mats available to share) ● Sewing Gloves (Optional) ● Small Iron & board (Optional - Ironing boards and Irons available to share) ● Your regular sewing supplies (seam ripper, stiletto, etc) |

| Instructor Bio: | Dr. Susan Kruszynski lives in Muskegon, Michigan, and is an award-winning art quilt designer, teacher, author, and gallery artist. Feeding her artistic nature, Susan, at age 8, started experimenting with fabrics to produce colorful creations. She began landscape fiber art design with collage art quilts in 2014. A native of Michigan, her works, that range in sizes from 3?x5? to 40?x60?, are often inspired by the trees and woodlands along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Susan currently divides her time between creating original collaged art quilt designs, teaching art quilting, marketing this fiber art in shows and galleries, running her Quilting Fabrics in Time business, and only just recently retired as a literacy specialist from Muskegon Community College. Susan uses her 40+ years of K-College level teaching experiences and a PhD in Education to teach this art through in-class experiences in and around the state of Michigan, through on-line instruction, and with art quilt books from Fox-Chapel Publishing. ?
