2023 - 06/02-06/03 - Intermediate Judy Niemeyer Quiltworx Paper Piecing with Michael Davison

VINTAGE COMPASS is a super fun 62" x 62" wall or lap quilt. It is an advanced beginner/intermediate Judy Niemeyer foundation paper piecing project that builds on all basic Judy Niemeyer Quiltworx techniques and skills. A very confident beginner could complete this project as well.
We will practice Judy's organizational methods and spend time preparing our foundation papers and layout sheets. The central Mariner's compass style star center focuses on all sizes of straight seams, while the whimsically paper pieced border gives you the chance to practice sewing gently curved seams. This 2-Day workshop will get you well on your way towards completing your Vintage Compass!

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Have taken the Beginner Judy Niemeyer class or had previous experience with Quiltworx techniques or paper piecing.
Requirements: The supply list will be emailed prior to class.

PATTERN: $30 (this is a discounted price for the workshop). I will bring the patterns to the workshop
Fabrics to bring to class:
See the photo under the description for layout and fabric requirements
(note: Michael recommends using Quiltster to help "color" your Vintage Compass project and print the project out using the "By Block" option. This will tell your exactly how to cut your fabric strips prior to class. If you do not have Quiltster, e-mail Michael after you have registered for the class for a free 30-day account code (michael@michaelquilts.com)
